The Truth Behind Prophet Dr. Owuor’s Menengai 8 HIV/AIDS Testimonies: The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness Responds to Skeptics
Get to know about everything about the widely circulated HIV/AIDS healings in Menengai 8.
By Joshua Joel.
Nakuru, Kenya — The conclusion of the two-day Menengai 8 Healing Crusade led by Prophet Dr. David Edward Owuor in Nakuru has ignited an ongoing national debate. At the center of discussion are testimonies from individuals who claim to have been miraculously healed of HIV/AIDS—accounts that have drawn both celebration and scrutiny in equal measure.
The Testimonies and Public Reaction
During a reception for Prophet Dr. Owuor at the Merica Hotel in Nakuru County, several individuals publicly presented medical documents they said confirmed their transition from HIV-positive to HIV-negative status following the Prophet’s prayer. Videos of these testimonies have since gone viral, drawing widespread attention from the public, media, and medical professionals.
Skeptics have questioned the authenticity of these claims, urging disclosure of the patients’ medical records for independent verification. Critics have also asked whether the individuals were officially registered with the National AIDS and STIs Control Programme (NASCOP) database and whether confirmatory tests such as Deoxyribonucleic Acid Polymerase Chain Reaction (DNA PCR) and Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA) were conducted after cessation of antiretroviral therapy (ARVs). DNA PCR and ELISA are critical components of the comprehensive testing algorithms used globally to diagnose, manage and monitor the treatment of HIV and AIDS.
The debate has sharpened the long-standing tension between faith and scientific evidence.
Regulatory and Government Response
The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) responded with concern, warning against the endorsement of unverified claims regarding chronic conditions such as HIV/AIDS and cancer. In a public statement, the Council emphasized that all claims of healing must be substantiated through credible medical testing and regulatory oversight. It also confirmed that investigations were underway into professionals who participated in the event.
Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale while addressing the issue of faith-based healing stated that any claims of miraculous healing, especially by licensed medical practitioners, must be supported by verifiable, scientifically proven medical evidence. Unsubstantiated claims constitute medical misinformation and pose a direct threat to human life and public safety.
KMPDC reiterated its position, noting that they are working closely with the Ministry of Health and other regulatory agencies to investigate these reports. Appropriate action will be taken to safeguard public health, uphold medical ethics, and protect citizens from misinformation.
The Ministry’s Response
On January 4, 2026, the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness issued an official statement defending the reported HIV/AIDS healings, describing them as “a sign of God’s mercy upon the earth” amid a pandemic that continues to devastate humanity.
According to the statement, the Ministry has documented more than 30 cases of medically verified HIV/AIDS healings since the inception of Prophet Dr. Owuor’s ministry. Before being declared healed, patients reportedly undergo multiple tests, including antibody testing, ELISA, DNA PCR, and viral load monitoring, to confirm complete reversal of the infection.
The ministry statement also said that Prophet of the Lord has been extremely stringent to ensure that those healed of HIV/AIDS who have turned HIV-negative are continuously retested and verified twice each year to permanently establish these healings.
The Ministry added that medical documentation had been forwarded to international health organizations—the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)—for independent verification. It also noted that the cases had been presented before the National Senate and included in the Presidential Taskforce Report of 2024.
Looking Ahead
While the Ministry of Health has suggested that disciplinary action may follow pending investigations, the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness remains confident in the authenticity of the reported miracles.
They believe that the Ministry of Health will eventually make its findings public, as Kenyans deserve to know the truth of these healings—whether they stand scientific scrutiny or not.
As both faith and science grapple with the extraordinary claims emerging from Menengai 8, the nation watches closely, waiting for verifiable answers to one of the most controversial questions facing modern Kenya: can divine healing coexist with empirical science?

Reported Case of HIV Healing Sparks Widespread Discussion
HIV/AIDS finally healed and it has sparked conversations globally.
Recent developments have sparked widespread discussion following a reported case of HIV/AIDS healing involving a Kenyan woman whose medical records indicate a remarkable turnaround. The case has drawn attention from both faith communities and medical observers due to the documentation attached to the testimony.
The individual identified is Janet Jebet Chirchir, a 48-year-old woman, who had previously been diagnosed with HIV and enrolled in clinical care. According to the records presented, she was registered under Unique Number: 14606000502 and Antenatal Number: 383/16, confirming her long-term engagement with medical services. Like many patients living with HIV, she had been on antiretroviral therapy (ARVs) as part of standard treatment and management of the virus.
What has made this case stand out is the reported outcome of subsequent laboratory tests. A DNA PCR test, which is considered a highly sensitive and reliable diagnostic method, returned a result of HIV NEGATIVE. The test was reportedly processed through the National HIV Reference Laboratory, bearing Lab Reference Number: MB201707, and registered under Client Code: 2809. Following these results, it is stated that ARVs were stopped, an action that typically only follows confirmed medical clearance under professional supervision.
This development has generated intense conversation, especially among faith-based communities that interpret the outcome as a miraculous healing. Many have pointed to the documentation as evidence that the change was not merely a claim but supported by recognized medical testing procedures. At the same time, the case has raised important discussions about the relationship between faith, medicine, and the need for careful verification and follow-up in such extraordinary circumstances.
Medical experts often emphasize the importance of continued monitoring in cases like this, while acknowledging that rare and unusual outcomes deserve thorough documentation and investigation. Faith leaders, on the other hand, view this testimony as a sign of divine intervention and a source of hope for those living with HIV/AIDS.
As conversations continue, the case of Janet Chebet Chirchir remains a powerful testimony that has stirred hope, curiosity, and reflection across different sectors of society. Whether viewed through a medical lens, a faith perspective, or both, it underscores the importance of responsible reporting, verified evidence, and compassion in addressing matters of health and healing.
With all this documented evidence presented and the details laid on the table, many observers conclude that the outcome cannot be ignored. While medical review and continued verification remain essential, there is also a growing sentiment of appreciation toward what believers recognize as the work of God. From this perspective, gratitude is expressed to the Sender of the prophets of God, whom faith communities believe God uses as instruments through whom such extraordinary testimonies are manifested. This acknowledgment is offered alongside, not in place of, the importance of medical responsibility, ethical reporting, and continued care.

The Tragedy of Moral Decay in Higher Learning institutions
Explore the growing moral decay in higher learning institutions, its causes, consequences, and impact on academic integrity and societal values.
For years, universities, Colleges and other Higher learning institutions were seen as places of intellectual growth and character development. However, many higher learning institutions today have become breeding grounds for moral decadence, where students and even lecturers engage in behaviors that destroy both academic integrity and personal values. From unchecked sexual immorality to rampant substance abuse, violence, and corruption, the decay runs deep.
Sexual immorality is one of the biggest stains on campus life. What was once considered shameful has become normal, even celebrated. Fornication is common, with students engaging in casual relationships driven by lust rather than love. Many young women fall victim to deceitful love affairs, only to be left heartbroken and used.
The normalization of lesbianism and homosexuality has also taken root. Some students, influenced by peer pressure or curiosity, experiment with same-sex relationships, leading to moral confusion and identity crises. Others engage in secret affairs with older partners or even lecturers who manipulate them in exchange for better grades or
financial benefits. Adultery is rampant, with some married lecturers preying on students, turning the academic environment into a den of sexual corruption.
Academic dishonesty is another deep-seated issue. Hard work and diligence are now seen as outdated concepts, replaced by cheating, bribery, and leaked examination papers. Some students no longer feel the need to study, relying instead on corrupt lecturers who sell grades to the highest bidder. The value of education has been reduced to a mere transaction, and many graduates leave university without the knowledge or skills needed to succeed.
Campus life has also become synonymous with drug and alcohol abuse. The pursuit of pleasure has overtaken the pursuit of knowledge. Many students indulge in excessive drinking, turning nights into a blur of parties and reckless behavior. The use of drugs—marijuana, cocaine, and other harmful substances—has become widespread, with some students getting addicted and ruining their futures.
Smoking is no longer seen as a bad habit but as a sign of independence and “maturity.” Shisha lounges and secret drug dens operate freely, drawing in young people who waste their lives in addiction. Many students skip classes, spending their time in bars and drug joints rather than in lecture halls.
As morality declines, violence increases. The lack of self-control and discipline among students has led to tragic incidents of stabbings and deadly fights. Many of these cases stem from toxic love triangles, where jealousy and betrayal push students to take extreme actions.
Reports of students stabbing each other to death over relationships have become disturbingly common.
A boyfriend catches his girlfriend texting another man and, in a fit of rage, pulls out a knife. A girl, blinded by jealousy, attacks a fellow student over suspicions of an affair. Such incidents reveal the deep emotional instability and lack of moral guidance among students, leading to irreversible consequences.
Campus hostels, once meant to be safe spaces for students, have become crime scenes where love-fueled violence erupts. Arguments escalate into fistfights, and fistfights turn into stabbings. Instead of resolving conflicts through dialogue, students resort to deadly force, ending promising lives before they even begin. The inability to manage emotions, coupled with the influence of drugs and alcohol, has made universities hotbeds of violence.
With all these vices comes an inevitable consequence: depression and hopelessness. Many students, trapped in toxic relationships, addiction, and academic failure, fall into deep despair. The pressure to fit into this morally decayed society leaves many feeling empty and worthless.

PROPHET DR. DAVID OWUOR ASTOUNDS THE WORLD ONCE MORE WITH UNDENIABLE MIRACLES
Prophet owuor hosted in a monumental thanksgiving celebration at Runda, Nairobi.
On May 10, 2025, Prophet Dr. David Owuor hosted a monumental thanksgiving celebration at his residence in Runda, Nairobi, which also serves as the headquarters of his global ministry. This extraordinary event was broadcast live on Crown TV and captured the attention of countless viewers locally and internationally.

Dr. Owuor is recognised for his remarkable and powerful prophetic ministry, particularly in leading large-scale healing crusades across Kenya and beyond. His recent healing services in Switzerland and Portugal, along with impactful events in South America, including Brazil and Venezuela, have solidified his global presence. His mission has spread to India, the Middle East, and Australia, with significant gatherings in Sydney and Melbourne. In Asia, his ministry made a profound impact in South Korea, particularly in Seoul and Gwangju.
Across Africa, he has visited nearly every nation, ministering in cities like Abidjan (Ivory Coast) and Luanda (Angola), among many others. Clearly, his name is now synonymous with healing and divine miracles worldwide.
This Thanksgiving event was nothing short of groundbreaking. Among the honored guests were 183 individuals who had once been crippled but now walked freely, 37 previously blind people whose sight was spectacularly restored, 45 formerly deaf and mute individuals who could now hear and speak, and 34 people who had tested positive for HIV/AIDS but were declared negative following a prophetic decree invoking the eternal blood of Jesus.

The guest list also included senior clergy, high-ranking government officials, such as the Assistant Inspector General, and numerous distinguished national and international figures.
One of the most powerful moments unfolded as the Prophet personally led each group in an awe-inspiring procession. First, the 183 formerly crippled individuals walked confidently beside him from the main house, past the gazebo and guest house, all the way to the main gate and back. They represented a diverse range of ages, from children to the elderly. Among them was Meshack Kipchumba, who was once bound to a wheelchair but now walked triumphantly beside the Prophet—an unforgettable image.
Following them were the 37 individuals who had been completely blind, now walking joyfully, their faces illuminated with amazement and gratitude. Next were the 45 formerly deaf individuals, many of whom had also been mute. As they walked, they expressed their exhilaration with voices filled with wonder, some speaking for the first time in their lives.
The final group displayed the most astonishing medical turnaround: 34 individuals previously diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Medical professionals present, including some who had treated them, testified that their healing defied scientific explanation. One physician remarked, “In our system, when an HIV file is closed, it usually means the patient has died. But here, the files were closed because the patients were healed—and very much alive.” Dr. Kibiso, a senior official from UNAIDS, was visibly astounded, stating, “This cannot be explained medically. There’s no known cure for HIV, yet these people have been healed.”

Witnessing these incredible events live made it abundantly clear that these were not mere testimonies; they were undeniable evidence. This event served as a powerful reminder: the truth cannot remain hidden by falsehoods forever. If true miracles can only come from Jehovah, the God of Israel, it is evident that we are witnessing His hand at work through a genuine prophet of the Lord.
